GOODBYE JIMMY G.1 comment
What we’ll miss:
Tony Soprano waddling down his steep driveway in a bathrobe, wife-beater and boxers…
Tony the badass all his minions were physically afraid of….
Tony taking the Mafia into therapy….
Tony pulling women he wouldn’t have had a chance at if he wasn’t a mob big shot.
Tony demanding and getting fear-induced respect from everyone, except his family, which tortured him like only families can.
Tony showing how engaging screen charisma can be… commanding every scene he was a part of… (In films as well.)
Tony’s active and sociopathic mind finally being snuffed by an assassin in the series finale, taking him and the show abruptly to a final curtain of black…
Gandolfini the intense, an actor who never mailed it in.
Gandolfini the man, who could project a vulnerability today’s weepy wimp-ites will never understand.
Gandolfini the humble craftsman, doing what he was born to do, better than most and without the advantages of an HGH body or a Model’s face…
Most of all, we’ll just miss him, proving that the mundaneness of life and its debilitations don’t have to be a solitary journey, even if so much of his was.
Thanks Jimmy – for everything.
